We’d like to announce that the End Point Assessment Plan for the Operational Firefighter Apprenticeship has been APPROVED. Tim Hyde, Director of Response at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: “The whole fire and rescue sector looks forward to using the new Operational Firefighter apprenticeship to support the development of a diverse, multi skilled workforce capable of meeting community and partner demands in the '20's and beyond."
Furthermore, we have now received notification that the funding level of £12k per firefighter apprentice has been agreed. We hope apprentices will be able to be register and drawn down funding from late January.
The Standard and guide are both already available to view here, to allow learning and development departments to develop their learning plans. We’ll keep you updated when these funds should become available.
