Are you interested in a potential career in accountancy, aged 16 to 18 and in school in Scotland? Then you may be interested in the new Foundation Apprenticeship (FA) in Accountancy developed by Skills for Justice.
This will be a brand-new opportunity from September 2018 when 172 places have been made available by Skills Development Scotland working with 11 training providers across Scotland.
Although FAs have been around for a while this is the first time it has been offered in accountancy and they allow young people in school to take this vocational course alongside their Highers. You will study a new Scottish National qualification and units from the Modern Apprenticeship in Accounting and have a work-based placement with an employer in the accountancy sector over a two- year period.
On completion of the programme you will have achieved some accountancy qualifications (which are also recognised towards entry into university) and have some valuable work experience to assist you to seek an accountancy apprenticeship with an employer or other employment.
