3 – 7th February 2020: National Apprenticeship Week
National Apprenticeship Week is coordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service and is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy. Skills for Justice will be supporting this week through various activities, so please stay tuned to our website and social media pages for updates.
4th May 2020: International Firefighters Day 2020
International Firefighters’ Day (IFFD) recognises and honours the sacrifices that firefighters make to ensure that their communities and environment are as safe as possible. It’s an opportunity to give thanks to those firefighters.
9th May 2020: Blue Light Stair Run
The Blue Light Stair Run is a new annual stair climb event at Broadgate Tower for uniformed emergency services personnel.
13 – 15th May 2020: Fire Brigades Union Conference 2020
FBU conference meets each year to discuss, review and update the union’s policy agenda. Delegates vote on resolutions that will provide the outline of the FBU’s work over the coming year. This year’s conference will be held in Brighton.
16 – 17th June 2020: The Police Federation 2020 Annual Conference
The Police Federation annual conference is a pivotal event within the policing calendar where representatives from the 43 forces throughout England and Wales, as well as from Scotland, Northern Ireland and overseas, come together to share good practice and debate issues affecting policing. This year’s event will be held in Manchester.
27 June 2020: Armed Forces Day
Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to show support and give thanks to current serving troops in the Armed Forces, as well as veterans and cadets.
25 - 26th of July 2020: The British Firefighter Challenge
The British Firefighter Challenge is an annual sporting event which pushes firefighters to their limits through a series of firefighting challenges, the event also raises funds for the Firefighters Charity. So even if you can’t take part, you can still enjoy the event – all spectators welcomed!
27th September 2020: National Police Memorial Day 2020
The National Police Memorial Day salutes the remarkable heroism of police officers everywhere and remembers those who have given their lives in the line of duty. The day provides a dignified and sensitive service of remembrance to honour the courage and ultimate sacrifice of Police officers throughout the United Kingdom.
