Rachel Rann

BA (Cantab), MA

Associate Consultant

Rachel Rann is an organisational consultant with over 10 years’ experience developing individuals, teams and organisations. Rachel’s approach involves paying attention to the human dynamics, organisational structures and wider contextual factors that support or impede organisational performance.

Rachel often uses action research principles when working with her clients, supporting them to work through iterative cycles of reflection, action, evaluation and modification. Her ultimate aim is to support clients to think through challenges for themselves and find the resources to take action and make changes.

Rachel has extensive experience in coaching and running leadership programmes across many sectors and industries. During her time Roffey Park Institute of Leadership and Management she qualified in a wide range of psychometrics and development tools and uses these where appropriate to support her clients.

Prior to her work in development, Rachel held a management role in the fundraising directorate of a UK Charity.
Rachel is currently studying for a Masters in ‘Consulting to Organisations from a Psychodynamic and Systemic approach’ at the Tavistock and Portman.

She has a BA in Zoology from Cambridge University and has carried out research projects around the world including documenting the use of natural medicines in Kerala, India and studying biodiversity in Australia. Rachel is also a qualified ski instructor and has a strong interest in what factors contribute to high performance in sport.

During the three sessions of coaching with Toby Lindsay, I was able to better identify personal and professional goals and priorities. As a result of the coaching with Toby, I have improved my performance and realise more of my potential. It has been a pleasure to be coached by Toby and I can recommend him to anyone who is looking for professional coaching.

Joanna Birss
Human Resources and Organisation Development Products Manager
NHS England

Toby is an expert facilitator and coach. He worked with the Trust's "Leading the Way" programme and facilitated Action Learning Sets for several small groups of senior managers and clinicians between February 2015 and June 2016. I have participated in Action Learning Sets previously (on other programmes) but I found Toby's approach and facilitation to be of greater value in securing a deeper level of self-awareness and also in securing honest and open dialogues between all present in the set. I would heartily recommend Toby to anyone.

Duane Passman
Acute Redevelopment Programme Director
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust

I had three very insightful and productive coaching sessions with Toby. I was able to speak openly about current working issues at ease and felt at the end of the coaching session I had developed a plan to take forward. From the coaching experience, it has enabled me subconsciously to use similar coaching methods when speaking to others about their issues.
