Preparation for the Register of Training Providers (RoATP)
The window for new RoATP applications opened on 10 December 2018. This provides an opportunity for employer training providers to apply to join the register but first must ensure they have a solid framework of policies, procedures and delivery in place to evidence their training will meet the stringent criteria for apprenticeship outcomes.
Skills for Health has developed a consulting offer to support this aspiration. Skills for Health can provide advice, guidance and support for your application to become registered Apprenticeship Providers. We work with employers across policing, fire & rescue, armed forces and local government, to provide guidance on RoATP.
- Audit of current structure, policies and procedures
- Coaching through the RoATP application submission
Skills for Health have extensive experience in apprenticeship delivery, policy and process, quality assurance and End Point Assessments. Our customers include the National Fire Chiefs’ Council and individual Fire and Rescue Services in England and Wales. Our specialists will review the initial application and our quality assurance team will request evidence to substantiate training content and delivery against the apprenticeship to be delivered.
Sector-specific benchmarks are used to ensure the curriculum is relevant based against the specific standard, current and meets national guidelines and criteria. We will provide initial guidance to support in assembling the documents and evidence required.
Furthermore, our partner organisation SFJ Awards can help with your end-point assessment for several apprenticeship standards.
After the initial desktop review, our consultants will spend time on site, and review evidence supplied against actual delivery on the day.
Our consultants can;
- Triangulate documentation with delivery
- Review delivery with lead personnel
- Meet trainers and learners
We will complete a comprehensive report on the findings, rating each area of application and delivery. Any further policy or procedural developments will be fed back to you and your organisation. Throughout the entire process support and coaching will be provided with step by step guidance to alleviate queries and concerns surrounding the process and application. Support will be given in completion of the application form.
